Upcoming meetups.
All Bay Area Bitcoiners events live on Meetup — RSVP there. Times, locations, and costs (most are free) are on each event’s page. Below: what kinds of meetups we run.
§ 02 — formats
What we run.
Three rough categories, with overlap.
Happy hours are casual evenings at bars, taprooms, or restaurant back-rooms — mostly conversation, no agenda.
Talks have someone presenting a topic they know well — a Bitcoin-adjacent project, a how-to, a deep dive. Usually 30–45 minutes followed by Q&A.
Hands-on meetups are workshop-style. Pulling out phones, sending testnet Bitcoin around, walking through wallet setup. Bring a phone.
§ 03 — venues
Where they happen.
Meetups move around the Bay Area — libraries, bars, community rooms, restaurant back-rooms. Specific venues live on each event’s Meetup page. Cadence varies by neighborhood.
§ 04 — conference
Golden Gate Bitcoin Conference.
A two-day, Bitcoin-only conference built by the Bay Area Bitcoiners community — two tracks of talks, plus side events. Nov 6–7, 2026 at College of Marin in Kentfield.
